Overview
Resend is a developer-friendly email API with a clean SDK and React Email. It does one thing, email, and does it well.
Rimbra’s Email API sends the same kind of transactional email from your own domain, with DKIM, SPF and DMARC checked for you, templates, broadcasts and a delivery log. The difference is that it lives next to your hosting, database, domain and WhatsApp API, so a new product needs one account instead of several.

Which one to choose
Choose Rimbra when
- You host your app on Rimbra or want to, and would rather not add an email provider.
- You also message users on WhatsApp and want both in one place.
- You bought your domain on Rimbra: the email records are added for you.
Resend may fit better when
- You only need email and already host elsewhere.
- You build emails with React Email and want its SDKs in many languages.
Moving from Resend to Rimbra

Add your sending domain in Rimbra under Emails. If the domain is on Rimbra, the records are added for you; otherwise add the DKIM and SPF records shown.

Create an API key with the Send scope.

Swap the API call in your code for Rimbra’s send endpoint. The request takes from, to, subject and html or text, as you would expect.

Does Rimbra have an Email API like Resend?
Yes. Rimbra’s Email API sends transactional email from your own domain with one HTTP request and scoped API keys, with templates, broadcasts and a log that tracks every message from queued to delivered.
How many emails are free?
The Free plan includes 1,000 emails a month. Launch includes 7,000, Pro 20,000 and Scale 75,000, and you can add more.
